Programs

LEARN supports family literacy through a variety of programs. See basic information below, and have a look at our newsletter for times and dates.

All programs have free transportation if needed for families.

BOOKS For Babies

A fun and exciting five week program for parents and caregivers who have children aged 0-2 years. Parents will learn the importance of reading to their young babies, including what kind of books are best and how to read to their children in new and interesting ways.

When: Mondays 10:00am - 11:00am, April 13th - May 11th

OR

Mondays 1:00pm - 2:00pm, April 13th - May 11th

Where: 5th Ave. Memorial United Church. 476 4th St. SE

Digital Literacy Class

A FREE eight session class covering a variety of programs, including Microsoft, Powerschool and Edsby, Google and Email Support. The program will also look at Social Media platforms, online safety and scams, and QR codes and AI.

When: Mondays 6:00pm - 7:30pm April 13th - June 8th (no class on May 18th)

Where: Medicine Hat College

Sensory Adventures

A five week outdoor program, join us in exploring literacy and sensory play while enjoying nature. Activities include scavenger hunts, sensory activities, chalk play, as well as songs, stories, and snacks.

When: 10:00am - 11:00am, May 13th - June 10th

Where: Central Park
